The New button opens the most common creation flows from any page, without making you find the right section first.
The New button
| Choice | What it opens | How to fill it in |
|---|---|---|
| Document | A document with type, client and items. | Issuing a document |
| Client | VAT number search or manual entry. | The client registry |
| Subscription | A recurring service with its next due date. | Creating a subscription |
| Client project | A one-off activity, including by installments. | Creating a client project |
| Internal project | A project for internal hours. | Internal projects |
| Expense | Reading a document or manual entry. | Recording an expense |
| Price list | A reusable item for subscriptions, projects and documents. | Creating an item |
| Vendor | A new supplier profile. | Supplier data |
You only see choices allowed by your role and enabled modules.
For example, Rossi Srl asks you to maintain its website for €80 a month. In New subscription choose the client, the title, How often and Next due date; in the items write “Website maintenance”, quantity 1, €80 before taxes. Save opens the subscription record: you then issue the document with Create document.
For a logo redesign, a one-off job, open New client project. If you need a quote first, open New document and choose Quote.
The + buttons on records
The + beside a field creates the missing item without losing the data you have already entered. If Reneva warns about unsaved changes, Stay keeps you on the page and Leave without saving opens the other record.
Importing instead of creating
To upload several rows at once open Import from CSV: choose the data type, download the example template and check the preview before confirming. Results and rejected rows arrive in the bell. Resuming the same batch does not create duplicates.
Match with AI is optional and starts off: it sends the headers and up to three shortened rows to AI to propose the missing column matches. Check the proposals or match the columns by hand.
A CSV exported from a list matches by itself, including tags and custom fields. Tags, colours, payment methods and list values must already exist: a row that names a missing one is rejected, with the reason. Below the column matching, Reneva lists the file columns it does not import.
For these data the details are in each section's article:
- Subscriptions: Importing and exporting.
- Client projects: Importing and exporting.
- Price list: Importing and exporting.
- Bank statement: Importing the bank statement.
Importing clients
If your clients are in Excel, save the file as CSV from Excel and import it here. After matching the columns, press Prepare import.
- Review: it shows every row as new client, link without changes, update, already imported or to verify.
- Saving: data is saved only with Confirm import; Cancel leaves clients unchanged.
- Existing clients: a certain VAT number or tax code links an existing client without overwriting its data. The same name is not enough.
- Ambiguous rows: they remain to verify.
Historical invoices and credit notes
In Documents press the Import icon at the top, choose what to import (invoices, credit notes or self-invoices) and upload the original XML. The icon appears only if your regime issues e-invoices. The summary separates facts that can be applied from missing originals or information.
- CSV or PDF only: a CSV with totals only, or a PDF, does not reconstruct an invoice's tax facts.
- Installments and payments: they are applied only when the source declares them completely. An XML alone does not prove payment.
- Resuming: resuming the same source does not create the imported documents again.
Received documents
Upload the original XML or acquire the history from Fatture in Cloud. Reneva keeps the document, currency and originals. Details are in Importing history.
- Expense created: only with complete tax facts, a positive amount and the company currency.
- Credit notes and other currencies: they stay in the history, without creating a cost or an exchange rate.
- Installments and payments: they require complete data. Extra cashbook movements are kept as source records.
Historical self-invoices
For TD17, TD18, TD19 and TD27 self-invoices use the original XML files or the one-time Fatture in Cloud acquisition with the originals available. Check the preview: company, document type and source facts must agree with the XML. A PDF or a CSV with totals only cannot replace the original. The Self-invoices section says where to find them.
- Confirmation: it keeps number, date and files, without creating a placeholder Expense, costs, revenue, installments or payments.
- «Paid» status: the source's status does not prove a movement in Reneva.
- Duplicates and conflicts: resuming the same batch does not duplicate; different contents for the same fiscal identity raise a conflict, without replacing the original.
- To verify: missing XML, conflicting facts and negative TD17–TD19 adjustments. Importing does not reconstruct them.
Suppliers and Expenses
Review the summary before confirming. Details are in Import from CSV for suppliers and Import from CSV for expenses.
- Date: expenses require a valid date.
- Payment and status: the CSV columns do not record outgoing cash.
- ID of an existing expense: it cannot be used to edit it through import.
Fatture in Cloud
To acquire the data open Integrations and use Import from Fatture in Cloud, after verifying the token and source company. The steps are in Import from Fatture in Cloud.
- Choice: pick the data and, for documents, the year.
- Incomplete acquisition: continue with the same batch and review the summary before confirming.
- Limit: the operation does not reactivate continuous synchronization or new document issuance through Fatture in Cloud.
