Bank reconciliation

Import the bank statement, confirm the suggested matches and what happens when they lapse.

Bank reconciliation compares the bank statement with what Reneva already knows, and suggests matches with documents and expenses.

Importing the bank statement

From Accounting records, press Import bank statement. Choose the Bank account, upload the CSV and map the columns: Transaction date and Amount (or Money in and Outgoings) are required, Counterparty and Reason help the suggestions. Confirm with I confirm the column mappings.

The states of a row

  • To verify — imported, with no suggested match.
  • Suggested match — Reneva found a matching document or expense.
  • Confirmed — the match was accepted and the movement is recorded.
  • Duplicate — it looks already present in the Accounting records.
  • Invalid — the row cannot be recorded as it is.

Confirming a match

On a row marked Suggested match, use Confirm match to accept it, or Confirm the suggested to accept in bulk the rows that cover a due date exactly: the others stay to be confirmed one by one. Without a useful suggestion, Record movement opens the record to match it by hand or record the movement anyway.

When a suggestion lapses

When you open the list, Reneva rechecks the suggestions still open. If the linked due date has no remaining balance left, the row goes back to To verify. Matches already Confirmed do not change.

The Export CSV icon at the top downloads the rows you see in the list, with filters and search.
