AI shows the Reneva assistant's capabilities and external-tool connections. If you only use Reneva you do not need to configure a connection: turn on the capabilities you need, one by one.
AI assistant
Open Ally from the icon in the header to ask a question about the open company's data or report a problem (do not enter passwords, access keys or full bank details). In the Reneva suggestions row of Subscriptions, Clients, Client projects, Expenses, Documents and Price list an Ask Ally card may appear, to put the advice into practice.
The three capabilities are independent cards, as in Modules, and start off: extended reading of financial data, MCP writes with webhook and assisted bank reconciliation. Webhooks and plan usage remain on their own pages.
What the switches change
- Extended reading off — Ally answers from the Guide only, no AI suggestions appear in the sections and no data goes to the AI.
- Extended reading on — every message counts toward the Assistant messages plan counter (Plan management).
- Assisted reconciliation on — every proposal counts toward the AI bank statement readings counter. In the Trial and on plans with AI tokens, both count toward the AI tokens counter.
- MCP writes with webhook on — a connected assistant can create a client, a subscription or a one-off client project, or record an expense or log tracked time, for you; every write fires a webhook to the services you connected and never stays inside Reneva.
Users who cannot see costs never receive the financial figures, even with the switch on. What is sent to the AI provider is in the privacy notice, point f.
What Ally does
It proposes available operations and carries them out after your confirmation, using your current permissions. It can keep a supporting file in Notes on a new client, subscription, client project or expense and in the chat. For purchase invoices and receipts upload the document in Expenses; to issue documents and send them to SdI use Documents.
MCP connection
The MCP connection card enables external assistants to use Reneva data. MCP writes with webhooks can only be switched on while the connection is active and switch off on their own when you turn it off. The switch applies to every company in the installation; OAuth and API keys access only the companies allowed for their user, every response covers one company and with a key tools require an explicit company.
When on, the MCP endpoint, authorized apps and connections appear. Tools using OAuth ask for access on their own; for the others use a key with the MCP connection permission in Developers:
- Copy the endpoint.
- Create an API key with the MCP connection permission and copy it right away: it only shows once.
- In your AI assistant (for example Claude Desktop, Settings › Connectors) add an MCP connector with the endpoint and the key as Bearer.
Active MCP authorised apps
It shows apps you have authorized, even before their first connection. The number in the heading counts authorizations still active; revoked or expired ones remain in the list. Revoking an app immediately removes its access to your data.
Connections use the linked user's permissions. Type tells whether a connection uses OAuth (revoked here) or an API key (it stops when you revoke the key in Developers).
Call audit
Open this panel to see recent tool calls, their result and duration. Sensitive data is hidden in the recorded arguments.
